Bartlesville high school has two National Hispanic Scholars as part of the Class of 2016.  The College Bord's National Hispanic Recognition program notified school officials that John Martinez and Andres Andujar have been named National Hispanic Scholars.

According to the College Board's web site, the program honors about 5 thousand of the highest-scoring students among more than a quarter of a million Hispanic and Latino juniors who take the PSAT National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test each October.  Qualifying students must be at least one-quarter Hispanic or Latino heritage and achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher by the middle of their junior year in addition to achieving at least the minimum required score on the qualifying exam.
