The Lady Bruins and Bruins played better on Friday night, but it won't end up showing in the win column.

Sapulpa swept Bartlesville at Bruin Fieldhouse, as Bartlesville was swept by both its opponents at home for the week. The Sapulpa girls topped Bartlesville 45-29. The Chieftain boys beat the Bruins in a back and forth affair 49-46.

On the girl's side, BHS trailed 7-0 before the Lady Bruins fought back into the game. Sapulpa hit a three-pointer at the buzzer before halftime to lead 22-11 and Bartlesville never got within single digits. The Lady Chieftains came into the game ranked first in the latest OSSAA polls despite losing two straight. The Bartlesville girls drop to 9-10.

On the boy's side, it was back and forth all evening. BHS trailed by six in the final two minutes, before AJ Parker hit a three-pointer to cut the lead in half. The Bruins had the ball down three in the final seconds, but a shot from AJ Archambo wouldn't fall amid contact, and the Chieftains held on.

Sapulpa led by as many as 11 in the first half before Bartlesville came charging back. The Bruins had as much as a five point lead in the third quarter. The loss drops BHS to 8-11.

Both teams will be at Bishop Kelley on Tuesday evening at 6:30 & 8:00 on KWON - AM 1400 and FM 93.3.
