Joel Rabin has announced he is withdrawing his bid for the Ward four seat on the Bartlesville City Council.  Rabin made the announcement Thursday morning by email.

Rabin says he is making the announcement with regret and deep disappointment.  Rabin says with more than 70 percent of Tuesday's school bond voter saying yes he needed to ask himself about the the voters political preferences and their willingness to challenge the system -- even from behind the safety of the voting booth, and what result, if any, did his opposition to the bond question make.

According to Rabin, he has cocluded that his continued candidacy was a waste of his and the voters' time.  Rabin says he wished the city good luck in its selection of members of the city council.
