The temperatures are well into the 100s these days, but that is not keeping Bartlesville High’s cross country team from getting ready for the 2022 season.

The Bruins will begin practicing at 7:00 in the morning this Monday. However, they will not be coming in dry. Both BHS runners have already built a base for conditioning throughout the summer even in the hot weather.

David Ayers is back as BHS cross country coach, he details their work so far.

Pathfinder has been a major asset for the Bartlesville running programs. Because of the shade the trees provide Bartlesville is able to get a long run in, right next to the high school, at most times of the day.

The Bartlesville boys have lost a number of seniors from last year. Tanner John will lead the way. On the girls side, Bartlesville is trying to get back on the podium, the BHS girls will be led by Gentry Turner.
