Person of Interest Located in Bartlesville Shooting Death

The Bartlesville Police Department has located the person of interest in regards to an overnight shooting that occured in Bartlesville. Thomas Conway was taken into custody in Wichita on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm after a felony conviction, maintaining a dwelling to keep or sell controlled dangerous substances and unlawful use of a police scanner.

At 12:50 a.m. Monday morning, the Bartlesville Police Department dispatch center received a call about a gunshot in the 1400 block of West Hensley.

As officers were responding, they were advised that 38-year old Alexander Daugherty was lying in the alley. Officers arrived on the scene and began life-saving measures until medical personnel arrived. The victim was transported to the hospital, where he died from a gunshot.

The Bartlesville Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating the case.
