The Bartlesville baseball team is on a hot streak at the plate, and in the win column.

The Bruins took the first two games in their own Bruin Classic on Thursday at Doenges Memorial Stadium. BHS beat Hillcrest, out of Missouri, 8-2. Then, Bartlesville beat Fort Osage, also out of Missouri, 8-0.

AJ Archambo and Zach Snow combined to throw a no-hitter in the Bruin’s shut-out against Fort Osage. Archambo threw four innings, only walking one and striking out seven. Snow came on to throw the final two innings, striking out two.

Chandler Holliman performed tremendously on the mound during his start against Hillcrest, as well. Holliman threw all six innings, allowing five hits and striking out six.

Bartlesville has won four games in a row following its Spring Break trip to Arizona, on a combined score of 53-8.

Chase Fiddler led BHS at the plate, going 4-7 on the day.

One of Fiddler’s four hits came in the bottom of the sixth inning, where BHS scored six runs against Hillcrest. Bartlesville had trailed throughout, and the game was tied 2-2 in the sixth before the offensive outburst. This was after the Bruins squandered a bases-loaded opportunity in the fifth inning.

Bartlesville is back in action in the Bruin Classic for its final two games on Friday evening, playing at 5:30 and 8:00.
