Collier Throws in National Event
Former Oklahoma Union multi-sport star Nate Collier earned an incredible opportunity to participate in the USA Track & Field u20 Championship in Oregon over the weekend. Collier just completed his first year on campus at Abilene Christian University competing as a thrower.
Collier finished fifth in the discus on Saturday with a top throw of 56.45 out of his six attempts. He also place seventh in shot put with a top throw of 17.30. Collier was competing against the best throwers from all over the country.
Collier redshirted for his first year at ACU but was allowed to compete as an unattached athlete in several meets. The OKU graduate did quite well in multiple competitions this spring. He will have four years of NCAA eligibility going forward.
