High School Sports Whip Around 9/20

Bartlesville High softball picked up two more District wins on Monday afternoon at home. BHS dismantled Booker T. Washington 17-0 and 15-1 in a double-header. The two wins give Bartlesville a 15-10 record and moves the Bruins into the top-half of 6A-3.

Bartlesville is next at Ponca City in a tri-add with Ponca and Enid on Tuesday evening.

Elsewhere on Monday on the softball diamond: Kiefer topped Dewey 5-3. Lady Doggers are 13-16 on the season. Nowata swept South Coffeyville and Oklahoma Union in a tri-add, winning 11-1 and 9-7 respectively. Caney Valley swept Ketchum in a double-header, Trojans won 3-2 and 12-3. Hominy blanked Barnsdall 10-0. Pawhuska trounced Tonkawa 15-0.

In volleyball on Monday night: Wesleyan Christian School won again, Mustangs beat Mingo Valley 3-1.

Schedule for Tuesday: In softball: Caney Valley goes to Oklahoma Union. And Copan travels to Prue.

Bartlesville volleyball will try to stay hot. BHS has won eight of its last 10, surging back above .500 at 9-8 on the season. The Bruins travel to Sand Springs to take on a ranked Sandite club Tuesday evening at 6:30.
