Huskies Eager to Start 2022 Season
High school football practices are underway this week and expectations are once again rather high at Pawhuska High School. The Huskies made another deep run in the Class A playoffs last season. This year the focus will be on senior quarterback Todd Drummond, a University of South Dakota commit.
Much of the offense will be a continuation from last year with plenty of returning experience. On defense the Huskies lost several talented players and will need to find new playmakers. Head coach Matt Hennesy knows he has a talented core of linebackers and that will lead the team to a schematic change on that side of the ball.
The Huskies are on the heels of three straight double digit win seasons. However, a transition to class 2A will prove to be a challenge for the team this year.
