The Doenges Ford Indians have made their final long road trip of the year. The Tribe arrived in Mountain Home, Arkansas last to get set for the Twin Lakes Classic. The Indians are guaranteed three games over the next three days, with the possibility of one or two more on Sunday in bracket play.

The Indians have played their best baseball of the season of late. Bartlesville has won eight of its last 11 and has surged to a 12-5-1 record. The Tribe has a history of doing well in this event. Bartlesville made the finals of the tournament a year ago before falling to Russellville, Arkansas 8-0 and finishing second.

Manager John Pannell says trips like these, particularly this one, are good team building activities for the guys during a long summer of baseball.

Game one for the Indians in the tournament this afternoon against Paragould, Arkansas. Former Bruin and current Oklahoma Wesleyan pitcher Alan Covarrubias will make the start. A 3:30 scheduled first pitch and a game we will carry on Sports Talk 1500 AM and 99.1 FM – KPGM. Video coverage also available on KWONTV.com.
