It was a dream weekend for the Doenges Ford Indians, as Bartlesville went a perfect 5-0 in the College of the Ozarks Showcase, and the Tribe is rolling toward another full week of baseball.

Bartlesville beat Hollister 8-7 and then Kickapoo 12-8 to round out the undefeated weekend in the Branson area.

The wins on Saturday were the most dramatic of the Tribe’s time there. Bartlesville would get a walkoff victory in the first contest over Hollister. Trailing 7-4 into the sixth the Indians would score three to tie it, then would need just one more run on the bottom of the seventh to get the win.

The youngster Brenden Asher delivered.

The Indians rolled with the one-run win over Hollister into a four-run victory in game-two against Kickapoo. Bartlesville blasted through offensively for 11 hits. The Tribe took advantage of five Kickapoo errors on the afternoon.

The second contest was back-and-forth. This base knock from Jace Thompson would end up giving Bartlesville the lead in the middle of the contest.

Daniel Barham, Matt Winters, Josh Weber and Kaeden Young all combined for the win on the mound. With the victories

Bartlesville has now won seven of its last nine and has improved to 11-4-1 on the year. A couple of much-needed off days for the Tribe before they host the second double-header in the Oklahoma Collegiate League on Tuesday.
