The Nowata Ironmen made the trip to Dewey this Tuesday night for the second edition of basketballs version of the Adam Hooper Bowl. This one was a good one, with the lead swapping throughout the entire game, before the Ironmen would take over in the 4th quarter and pull away with a 68-54 victory.

This one started with Nowata on top by way of a 15-3 run before Dewey hit two three pointers to make it 15-9 after one. Second quarter saw a stalemate in scoring, with Nowata staying on top by six points after two quarters at 33-27.

The third quarter is where things got interesting, as Dewey would climb back to take the lead 45-43, with this bucket at the third quarter buzzer from Clayton Evans.

Fourth quarter would be all Ironmen though, outscoring Dewey 25-9 in the final frame to lock up the 14-point win. Yamarion Cole made huge plays all night, totaling 14 points, and had a two-hand slam off a turnover in the 4th. Here is Cole on his performance and getting the win.

Nowata Head Coach was proud of his squad coming out on top on the road in a tough environment, and here is what he had to say after the win.

The Ironmen improve to 15-5 on the season, and Dewey falls to 7-12. Nowata is back Friday at home against Oklahoma Union, and we will have that one for you on KRIG 104.9 and KRIGTV.com. As for the Bulldoggers, they are at Caney Valley, Ramona on Friday.
