OKWU Baseball, Softball Stars Honored
It was a great spring for Oklahoma Wesleyan on both the baseball and softball diamond. Multiple athletes were announced as NAIA All-Americans in recent days.
Softball star Tahlor Stefek was named an NAIA 2nd team All-American last week. Stefek was a two-way star for the Lady Eagles, playing in center field and pitching. The fifth-year senior led the team with a .457 batting average. She also pitched to the tune of a 9-4 record with a 3.58 ERA.
On the baseball side, slugger Cody Muncy was named an honorable mention NAIA All-American. Muncy hit for a .397 average in his senior season. He also led the Eagles with 16 home runs on the year.
Both OKWU teams competed near the top of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference but found themselves on the wrong side of the national tournament bubble.
