OKWU Soccer Ranked 5th in Preseason Poll
The Oklahoma Wesleyan men’s soccer team is expecting big things once again in the 2022 season. The Eagles were a team who qualified for the national quarterfinals last season after running through the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference slate undefeated. The Eagles were unsurprisingly picked first in the KCAC preseason poll again this year. Head coach Jamie Peterson talks about this year’s challenges.
OKWU will take on multiple talented squads before conference play opens up September 16. The Eagles will open the season August 25 with UNOH College Soccer Showcase against the University of Northwestern Ohio. OKWU will also play Olivet Nazarene at the weekend event in Lima, Ohio.
OKWU was announced as the No. 5 team in the preseason coach’s poll.
