It was a sixth national title and second in a row for Oklahoma softball on Thursday night, as the Sooners dispatched of Texas easily for a two-game sweep in the final of the Women’s College World Series.

OU topped the Longhorns 10-5 in Oklahoma City.

The game was not close from the middle innings on.

Texas had an early 2-0 lead, it could have been more except for a robbed home run from the Sooner outfield. Oklahoma then started piling on offensive. Jocelyn Alo was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. She had five home runs, 12 runs scored and 32 total bases.

Alo talks about OU’s National Championship.
