Multiple area schools have made coaching hires in various sports over the past several days. It was announced on social media that longtime Copan boy’s basketball coach Kevin Foreman is stepping down from his role. Foreman returned to the role last season after sitting out the 2020-2021 season. He led the Hornets for seven seasons prior to that.

Copan announced that it will hire Kolton Stacy, a former Oklahoma Union basketball standout to lead the program. We reported earlier this offseason that Stacy was slated for an assistant coach role at Oklahoma Union. Stacy played collegiately at NOC-Tonkawa.

OKU made another hire as well. Longtime coach Brad Hall will be taking on the Cougars baseball program as well. Hall was announced as the OKU boy’s basketball coach last month.

Dewey is another school that has participated in the coaching shuffle in recent days. Dewey Public Schools announced that Michael Sanders will be taking over the girl’s basketball program. Sanders is a Dewey alum that has spent time as an assistant for both basketball programs and the softball team previously. The school also announced last week that Riley Allen has been hired as the school’s baseball coach.
