Sooners Advance to Finals of CWS

Sooner baseball is on to the College World Series Finals after a 5-1 win over Texas A&M on Wednesday afternoon. The Sooners were in the driver’s seat early, as they went up 3-0 in the first inning thanks to this home run from Jimmy Crooks. 

Pitching carried the day for the Sooners, as former Eastern Oklahoma State University standout David Sandlin struck out 12 through seven innings of play. Sandlin, an Owasso native, was coached by Matt Parker while at Eastern OSU. Parker is a former baseball coach at Oklahoma Wesleyan University.

The Sooners will open College World Series championship play on Saturday.
