TU Picked 8th in AAC Preseason Media Poll

Football camps are rapidly approaching and this week the American Athletic Conference held its media day over zoom. There is plenty of optimism surrounding the Tulsa football team heading into 2022. The Cane are coming off a seven-win season and a Myrtle Beach Bowl victory.

Tulsa returns a wealth of talent including starting quarterback Davis Brin who tossed for over 3,200 yards and 18 touchdowns last season. Despite this, Tulsa was only picked to finish eighth in the preseason AAC media poll. Head coach Phillip Montgomery took the podium and said he is ready to see what the team looks like in fall camp.

Tulsa opens the season at Wyoming on September 3. The Hurricane then play at Ole Miss on Sept 24 before opening conference with Cincinnati the next week on October 1. Tulsa does not play any in-state opponents this season.
