The Family Healthcare Clinic in Bartlesville was the receopient of a $7-thousand dollar gift from the Arvest Foundation.

Appearing on COMMUNITY CONNECTION, Executive Director Molly Collins said  money was used for new medical equipment and technology upgrades. Specifically, Family HealthCare Clinic was able to purchase a new blood pressure monitor and point of care A1C analyzer for use in the clinic. In addition, new computer monitors and new central processing units will be purchased for staff use.

The A1C analyzer measures glucose in your blood system which is vital in keeping diabetes in check.

"The Arvest Foundation grant will allow the provider and nurse to make health decisions in real-time, which will increase the health outcomes of our patients tremendously,” Collins said. “In addition, having up-to-date technology to run the charting system will ensure seamless care for our patients. We feel truly blessed by the grant and the impact it will have on patient care."

Family HealthCare Clinic provides quality, affordable health care and health education to individuals of all ages, regardless of medical insurance. Family HealthCare Clinic and its respected, professional staff collaborative with other local organizations to ensure a healthier community.

Collins reminds that the Family Healthcare Clinic provides a Mammogram Program and other cancer prevention. Clinical breast exams and FREE mammograms are available for underinsured or uninsured patients who need, but cannot afford a screening and/or diagnostic mammogram.

Family HealthCare Clinic treats patients who might otherwise put off getting valuable needed care until they were in a medical emergency. Family HealthCare Clinic patients don't have to be in the position of having to jeopardize their family’s financial situation in order to pay a much higher rate to receive the medical care they desperately need.

Collins reminds all that the Family Healthcare Clinic will be holding some vaccine clinics early next year and that those who can an wnt to make a dontation to the organization can do so via their Thanks 4 Giving campaign.
