The State of Oklahoma executed a tenth person since 2021 on Thursday morning, as Anthony Sanchez was executed by lethal injection at 10:19 a.m. Anthony Sanchez was convicted of kidnapping, raping and murdering a 21-year old University of Oklahoma student in 1996.

Oklahoma Attorney General Genter Drummond was at Thursday's execution and he said the family is thankful they can finally rest a little bit easier at night.

The next person scheduled for execution is Phillip Hancock, who is set to die on November 30^th.
