Oklahoma Wesleyan hoops were back in action Saturday afternoon with the girls leading the expedition and falling to York University 71-52. The Lady Eagles got down double-digits early but crawled back to make it a four-point game as they trailed 37-33.

That would be as close as the game would get as they would fall to the Lady Panthers by 19. Rashaan Smith led the way for the Lady Eagles with 12 points and 9 boards, but OKWU falls to 2-9.

On the guys side, it would be a wire-to-wire win as the Eagles won big, 88-73. The Eagles separated themselves late in the first half by going on a 12-2 run after it was 33-30 to lead 45-32 at the half.

Nick Bene had a career game off the bench today as he finished with 19-points and four three pointers, including this one.

Head Coach Donnie Bostwick stopped by after the game and shared his thoughts on Bene’s career game.

Eagle men move to 10-1 and are off until Monday, Dec. 18th.
