UPDATED: Barnsdall Schools Cancel Classes for Rest of School Year

Barnsdall Public Schools will not be in session for the rest of the school year after an EF-4 tornado ripped through the small Osage County town on May 6.
Barnsdall Superintendent Dr. Sayra Bryant made the call on Sunday to cancel school for the last few remaining days of the school year, which was scheduled to end on Thursday with graduation ceremonies on Friday.
Administrators met Monday evening and made the following announcements.
- Kindergarten graduation will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 20 in the lower gym.
- The baccalaureate service will be Wednesday, May 15 at 6 p.m. in the lower gym.
- High School graduation will be at 7:30 p.m. May 17 at the Bartlesville Community Center.
- Students are invited on Tuesday, May 21 between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. for a come-and-go event where they can turn in books, pick up personal items from lockers and see their teachers.
