BHS Hoops Split vs Enid
Bartlesville High basketball split its final double-header of 2024 on Friday night at Bruin Field House, as the Lady Bruins beat Enid in a close one, and the Bruin guys ran out of gas.
On the girl’s side, Bartlesville led throughout most of the second half, but it was never comfortable. BHS bested Enid, 42-39.
Both the Pacers and Bruins struggled to hold onto the basketball. Despite several turnovers, Bartlesville was able to control the last few minutes.
BHS grabbed the lead on this Kenzie Denny three about midway through the fourth.
That bucket stopped a nearly four-minute scoreless drought for both teams.
Alayah Lunn led the way with 12 points. She hit three first half threes. Bartlesville improves to 2-2 in District play and 4-2 overall.
On the guy’s side a gritty Bruin effort lost some steam in the fourth quarter. Enid beat Bartlesville, 46-28.
Again, it was some Bartlesville scoring issues that led to a more lopsided score than the game was. BHS was within seven at half and was down 2-3 possessions until the fourth quarter. Bartlesville only scored five points in the fourth quarter.
Daeton Stevens gave the Bruins a spark off the bench
Hudson Eads scored 11 points to lead BHS with three threes. Bruin guys drop to 1-6.
Both BHS teams are off until January 7 at Broken Arrow.
