Brian McSweeney
Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball fell in the national championship game in Kansas City on Tuesday night to the College of Idaho, 93-65.
The Eagles got into a deep hole early. The Coyotes started the game 8-10 from the outside and kept the three-point percentage above 50% the entire night. OKWU trailed at halftime, 49-29.
The Eagles struggled on the offensive end in parts of the contest but were able to capitalize on a few opportunities. Isaac Stanek made this three-pointer in the first half to keep OKWU in it.
This was OKWU's first appearance in the title game since they won it all in 2009. The Eagles finish the season 28-8.
