Tom Davis
Celebrate our nation's Independence Day in Dewey this July 4th at Don Tyler Park.

Dewey FFA will have their food trailer there as a fundraiser selling drinks, candy and Sno-Cones. Truity Credit Union will have their trailer there giving away hotdogs.  Music will be from Garrett Brown Band.  There will be free watermelon, and don't forget The Dewey Duck Derby, and FIREWORKS at around 9:20pm!

The Dewey Duck Derby is at 8:30pm. This event is also known as a Fantastic Flotilla of Fake Fowl.  In short, it's a rubber duck race down the "Delaware River" that runs through Don Tyler Park.

Numbered ducks are sent through an obstacle course down the "Delaware River" trying to get to the finish line first.  The first 4 ducks to cross the finish line net their lucky number owners cash prizes!

Duck numbers are sold at City Hall starting in June.  All money raised goes back into the fund for the next year's 4th of July celebration.

Real Country 104.9 KRIG will broadcast live from Don Tyler Park July 4th from 4-6pm brought to you by: Medicalodges of Dewey, Crafty Candle Shoppe, American Heritage Beef, Sweazey Realty, Totah Communications-Totel CSI-Bartnet IP, Arvest Bank, OK Federal Credit Union, Rainey Sister Donuts and Deli, Rainey's Cusom Butchering, Rainey's Meat Market in Nowata, and Robin Mackey's Photography.
