OCSO Getting New Vehicles

Ty Loftis
During last Monday's Board of Osage County Commissioners meeting, Sheriff Bart Perrier expressed his desire to upgrade from the old fleet of vehicles they are currently using. This week, the Board signed a lease agreement with Welch State Bank for six 2024 Dodge Ram Trucks for $1,788 each that totals out to $10,730 each month.
Perrier says the current 18-vehicle fleet is financed through Welch State Bank and will be paid for within the next year.
At Monday's meeting, there was also action taken to advertise bids at the fairgrounds for the relocation of a section of the grandstands and the construction of six loafing sheds. There were no utility permits signed at Monday's meeting.
The Board of Osage County Commissioners have called for a special meeting on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. There will be an acknowledgment of letters from various departments stating the requisitioning officers and receiving agents for the 2025-2026 fiscal year.
