The Bartlesville High girls’ basketball team is getting set to leave for 6A State on Tuesday, as BHS will hold a sendoff for the Lady Bruins on the south side of the Fine Arts Center.

Bartlesville will face Mustang tomorrow at noon from Lloyd Noble Center in Norman. Bartlesville is trying for its first win in the State Tournament in well over a decade.

BHS got there via a 54-48 win over Broken Arrow on Saturday. It was the third win in a row for Bartlesville over BA.

KWON stopped by the Lady Bruin’s practice on Monday to talk about the big win over the Tigers with head coach Justyn Shaw.

Bartlesville allowed only 24 Broken Arrow points over the first three quarters of play. The Tigers would score 19 points in the final four minutes to make things interesting, but there was not enough time left for a legitimate comeback. BHS had led by 21 earlier in the quarter.

Shaw talks about the message to his team after the Broken Arrow win.

The Bartlesville girls’ basketball sendoff will be at 5:00 on Tuesday night from the Fine Arts Center entrance.

We will have Bartlesville and Mustang on the radio for you on Wednesday morning with an 11:30 pregame and noon tip on Sports Talk 99.1 FM and 1500 AM – KPGM.
