Bartlesville Basketball Heads to Muskogee
Bartlesville High basketball is back after it on Tuesday night, as the Lady Bruins and Bruins both head to Muskogee for a District double-header.
Both clubs are coming off successful weekend trips. The Bruin guys went 2-1 in three games in Cleveland while the Lady Bruins went 3-0 in Carthage, Missouri.
The Bartlesville guys stand at 3-2 going into Muskogee. First year Head coach Jake Christenson says he hopes his guys are starting to learn how to win close games.
Brycen Gutierez and Jackson Barta both were revelations in Cleveland. Barta got his first start on Saturday’s win against Pryor and has knocked down shots consistently in previous limited action.
Christenson says those two guys can score, but the Bruins need to grab rebounds, too.
The Muskogee guys are 0-1 while the Lady Roughers are 2-0. A 6:30 tip for the girls with the guys to follow about 8:00 on KWON and KWONTV.com.
This is the first of three double-headers left for BHS hoops before Christmas.
