Bartlesville Football Holds 8th Grade Signing
Wednesday was a big day for the future of Bartlesville High football.
The Bruins and first-year head coach Matt Hennesy held an incoming freshman signing day.
There were around 30 eighth graders who will be freshman next year at BHS who signed to commit to Bruin football for the next four years. The athletes signed with their football “big brother” who will help with their success in the program.
Hennesy details what went on with the signing.
The singing took place over about 30 minutes at the Phillips Gymnasium at BHS. Hennesy says the freshman class for his first season at Bartlesville will likely be a measuring stick for the program moving forward.
Hennesy told each of the athletes that he wants the program to take care of its freshmen and that each of them will have a chance to earn playing time immediately if they are up to the task.
