Bartlesville Softball Practice Begins

Bartlesville High softball begins practice on Wednesday afternoon, as Oklahoma can start fall sports practices on July 15.

Holden Yoder will be one of a handful of first-year head coaches for Bartlesville this fall. He was hired at the end of the spring to replace former head coach Kyle Minton, who has moved into an Assistant Athletic and Activities Director role at BPS.

We are about seven weeks into the preseason for Yoder for softball, he talks about how the last month-plus has gone.

Not 100% of the athletes will be available on day one of practice, as some of the older Lady Bruins will still be with their summer travel ball clubs for another couple weeks. Mostly though, Yoder says, Bartlesville will kick things off on Wednesday.

He talks about the biggest changes he has had since taking this 6A job at BHS. 

Scrimmages will begin on July 20 for BHS with real games starting a couple of weeks into August.
