Bartlesville High has hired a new girls’ soccer coach, and it’s someone with college head coaching experience.

Longtime head coach Aaron Kuntz stepped aside from his post to take a job in administration earlier this spring within Bartlesville Public Schools. Bartlesville High Athletic and Activities Director Thad Dilbeck announced on Bruin Buzz this past Friday that Roosevelt Peters would be his replacement.

Peters has been an assistant on the OKWU men’s team the past couple years. He was previously one of the youngest head coaches in NAIA history, as he led both the Bacone men’s and women’s programs in Muskogee.

Peters talks about his background.

Peters had some experience as an assistant at the high school level, as well. He will have introductory interviews with the girls and their parents today. The Lady Bruins went 9-6 this past season and just missed on the playoffs.
