BHS Slow Pitch Eyes State Tuesday

Bartlesville High slow pitch softball is one day away from its day in the 6A State Tournament.

BHS will play a one-day event at Firelake Softball facility in Shawnee on Tuesday. The entire 6A State Tourney takes place in one day.

This is the fifth straight 6A softball tournament that the Lady Bruins have qualified for.

As we talked about last week, it was not an easy feat. BHS had to rally after losing its first game in its own Regional to Muskogee on Wednesday. Bartlesville won the next two to get to State.

Head coach Kyle Minton talks about his team’s perseverance.

Minton says the entire season has been just like the Regional.

After a .500 start through the first two weeks of the season, Bartlesville had little margin for error over the past month to even host a Regional.

BHS will face Southmoore in the first round of the tournament at 11:30 on Tuesday morning.

The Lady Bruins will be the second game of the day.

Bartlesville is 0-1 against Southmoore in one matchup earlier this year. The Sabercats topped BHS 9-0 in a game in the Big Cat Festival on April 20.
