Bob Simmons Dies at 77

Former Oklahoma State football coach Bob Simmons died Tuesday, according to The Oklahoman.
 
Simmons was the head coach of the Cowboys from 1995-2000. He led an OSU team in 1997 to the Alamo Bowl, the program's first bowl game since 1988. He was named Big 12 Coach of the Year that season.
 
In six seasons, Simmons beat Oklahoma three times, the first Bedlam win snapped a 19-year drought against OU. He resigned at OSU with a career record of 30-38.
 
Simmons was 77.
