Bartlesville High baseball is off to a 2-0 start before its biggest test of the young season on Tuesday evening.

The Bruins knocked off Sapulpa, 4-2 on Monday night back at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium. Bartlesville hopped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first and never looked back.

BHS got two hits from Damien Niko, both for extra bases.

Bryce Leuf and Hunter Shea also tallied doubles in the contest. Kaden Romesburg started on the mound for BHS. He went the full seven frames, gave up two runs on four hits with five strikeouts and only one walk.

Next, the toughest one so far as Bartlesville travels to 6A powerhouse Owasso. A 5:00 first pitch.

Coverage of Bruin baseball on KWON and KWONTV.com will start later this month.
