Bruins Host Bishop Kelley in Football Scrimmage
Friday is one of the final steps in the preseason for Bartlesville High football, as the Bruins are less than a week away from the Bruins kicking off the 2024 season.
5A power Bishop Kelley visits Custer Stadium for a scrimmage.
The varsity portion of the event will start closer to 7:30 or 8:00, with junior high and sub-varsity teams scrimmaging before that.
This will be the first real event at the stadium where fans can get an idea of what Bartlesville will be like this fall. Last week’s Meet the Bruins was postponed because of weather.
Position battles will continue into next week, including a big one at running back. Bartlesville has several options in the backfield after the departure of former RB PJ Wallace.

Aside from Williams, another familiar name in the fire for the running back position: Wesleyan Christian School transfer Archer Swisher. Swisher was on the team last year but had to sit out. This fall he is ready to contribute.
