Bruins Take Step in Right Direction in Spring Game

The Bartlesville Bruin football team completed spring workouts with a spring game on Saturday night at Custer Stadium. Coach Matt Hennesy divided the team up into blue and white squads. 
 
Hennesy said most importantly everybody got out healthy and while they still have plenty to work on, Hennesy said Saturday's scrimmage was a step in the right direction.
 
Saturday's scrimmage was divided up into three quarters with the varsity players getting reps in the first and third quarters. A few highlights included a goal line interception from Wyatt Mathis and several catches from senior move-in Price Lusk.
 
Freshman wide receiver Kandon Benjamin made an impression, as he got some playing time in the final quarter with the varsity team. 
 
Hennesy talks about where the team stands as a whole heading into this week's team camp.
 
Bartlesville now hosts a two day team camp beginning on Monday.
