Copan Begins Season at Welch
The Copan football Hornets travel to Midway to kick off their 2024 season on Friday.
It is a new District and new classification for Copan this fall, but it is mostly the same team that made the playoffs in 2023.
Copan will be in Class B-II this fall, moving up from Class C after the OSSAA re-did the classifications late this spring.
The Hornets took on Welch for their scrimmage on Friday night in Copan. Head coach Marshall Foreman talks about how it went.
The scrimmage against Welch should be a good preview for Copan, as they get ready open the season at Midway on Friday.

Midway has gone 3-17 over the past two seasons, including an 0-10 campaign in Class B a year ago.
