Day 1 of Spring Football Finished
Day one of high school football springs practices across the area is in the books.
At Bartlesville High, the Bruins were out at Custer Stadium officially for the first time under head coach Matt Hennesy.
BHS will have afternoon workouts the rest of this week in preparation for Bartlesville’s own team camp later this summer.
Football has probably had one of the highest turnovers of any varsity coaching staff at Bartlesville High over the past decade.
Different this era than others past, Hennesy has been on site in Bartlesville since before the start of the semester. Most of the rest of his coaching staff has also been in place for weeks or months.
There have been previous Bruin football coaches who were not yet living in town by the time spring practices began.
Hennesy says this makes a big difference.
Practice No. 2 kicks off at 3:30 on Tuesday afternoon from Custer Stadium.
We will have more on BHS spring ball and other football program’s spring practices over the course of the next few weeks.
