Dewey Bulldogger basketball got off to a hot start last week after a blowout win over Oklahoma Union.

Dewey rode a hot night on offense from start to finish in an 87-40 win.

During Saturday morning's Coach's Breakfast Broadcast on KWON, head coach Lance Knight said it's a good way to start a season.

The 87-point mark is the second time in four games dating back to last season that Dewey has eclipsed 80 points in a game. The Bulldoggers scored 83 points on Commerce in the opening round of the playoffs last season.

Dewey returns all but three seniors off of last year's team that won 13 games. The Bulldoggers have five seniors and no freshmen on the varisty roster this season. Knight talked about the development of his players throughout the offseason.

The Bulldoggers return on Dec. 2 for another road contest against Chelsea. Last season, the Bulldoggers split with the Dragons. Dewey's loss came on the road on Feb. 11, 55-54.

Saturday morning's Coach's Breakfast Broadcast is archived on KWONTV.com.
