Dewey Falls to 1-1 After Loss to Vinita

The Dewey Bulldoggers fell to Vinita Friday night in a tough game that ended at 34-0. The scoring started early in the first quarter with the Hornets scoring on their first drive with a 14-yard touchdown pass, and that is the closest the game would be other than 0-0. The Hornets would add a 64-yard touchdown pass to go up 14-0 after the first frame.

The second quarter was almost identical, albeit some added turmoil for the Bulldogger offense as Ryder Muninger threw two picks in the second quarter. One of them would be followed by a one-play 80-yard touchdown pass. A couple of series later Vinita essentially removed all doubt with a 44-yard scamper to go up 27-0 after a block PAT at the half.

The Dewey defense looked much better in the second half, a bright spot was Gavin Lynch who mustered up two sacks on the game, including this one for a nine-yard loss.

Lynch was also named the Patriot Player of the Game. Dewey now falls to 1-1 as they await what was initially scheduled to be a week zero matchup with Miami next Friday night in Dewey.
