The Dewey Bulldoggers have captured their 8th straight win over Nowata, and their 7th straight Adam Hooper Bowl Trophy in a wild 15-12 victory. Nowata got things started early in the first quarter on the second drive of the game with a monster 96-yard touchdown pass from Trevor Emberson to Peyton Trotter.

Dewey sophomore quarterback Ryder Muninger would throw an interception to Keyshawn Verner on the following drive that would lead to a punt for the Ironmen. The second quarter lead for Nowata grew after a botched snap on a 4th down punt by Dewey gave Nowata a first and goal from the five. Peyton Trotter would get his second receiving touchdown of the game just four-plays later to put Nowata up 12-0 after a failed two-point conversion.

Nowata led 12-0 at the half before things started to switch. Dewey finally got on the board with this electric double-pass trick play to Zaiden Masters to the tune of 61-yards in the third quarter.

Dewey made it 12-7 and it stayed that way until late in the fourth when Ryder Muninger dropped a beautiful ball into Masters hands for a 27-yard touchdown pass.

Final drive showed Nowata throwing a pick with Dewey fumbling the return back to the Ironmen before they would turn it over on downs with 27 seconds left in the game. For the Ironmen they fall to 1-1. Here is Dewey Head Coach Ryan Richardson after the game.

Zaiden Masters was named player of the game for his two touchdown catches that carried Dewey to the win.

Nowata is off with a bye next Friday and Dewey travels to Vinita in a game we will carry for you on KRIG 104.9 FM and KRIGTV.com
