Bartlesville High volleyball is 3-0 to begin the year, after a hard-fought win at Union on Tuesday night.

The Bruins knocked off the Redhawks 3-2 in a five-set nailbiter.

Rya Christensen had two massive blocks in the last seven points to help give BHS an 15-11 set five victory, which gave the Bruins the match.

Emry Brown again led Bartlesville with 24 kills. Newcomer Terrin Barclay also added five. Head coach Andrew Blain also mentioned Sophie Frye anchored the defense, including a huge dig that led to a crucial point-13 in the deciding fifth set.

Bartlesville next goes to a tournament at Lincoln Christian on Friday.
