The Doenges Ford Indians are back in action on Friday night, as the Tribe gets set for a busy three days in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Bartlesville will take on Elk City in game one on Friday evening.

Several different Indians stole the show in the first weekend of action, with a few guys standing out. Oklahoma Wesleyan JV player and Plano, Texas native Evan McClendon has been blasting the ball from the leadoff spot. McClendon went 10-16 in his first five games with a grand slam and two triples. He leads the team in runs with 11 and RBIs with six.

Luke Fox has also shined. Fox has four hits in five games, but Manager John Pannell says he has done the little things hitting behind McClendon. Pannell talks about his first two spots in the lineup.

Another Oklahoma Wesleyan JV guy and returner Karson Lee is second on the team in hits with five.

Bartlesville plays the single game on Friday, then two games on Saturday (5:00 & 7:30 PM) before bracket play begins on Sunday.

Pannell talks about his expectations for the weekend.

Bartlesville is 3-2 after its opening set of games last weekend. The Indians will play in tournament each of the next three weekends.

The 8:15 game on Friday evening will air on KWON – AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1. You can also watch the contest on KWONTV.com.
