Bartlesville High girl’s golf is going to serve up some home cooking for the 6A State Tournament, as BHS qualified the entire team for State yesterday at Regionals in Bailey Ranch in Owasso.

Bartlesville finished tied for sixth at Regionals with Moore, which is good enough to advance everyone to the next round.

First year girls’ golf coach Layne Parham says the start wasn’t great, but the finish was fantastic.

Senior Vivan Symes drained a 25-foot put as the last player to finish to send BHS to State. Parham said the team did not know at the time that is what tied BHS for sixth to send the whole team back home for another tournament.

Parham sets the scene.

Symes led Bartlesville with a 98.

The cherry on top is BHS will not have to travel for the State event. Hillcrest Country Club plays host to the 6A State Tourney on May 4-5.

The Bruin boys have their Regional early next week.
