Mustangs Tread Water, Season Nears Finish Line

Oologah-Talala baseball is treading water this week, managing to stay above .500 even after dropping a pair to Stilwell, including a 9-6 loss last night. The Mustangs now sit at 14-12. Still, they’ve got three games left to build a little momentum as the regular season ends and heading to the postseason as a possible 2 seed.

The road doesn’t get any easier, with upcoming trips to Caney Valley Ramona and Victory Christian before closing out the regular season at home against Collinsville on Monday. So, plenty of chances to clean things up for the postseason. Either way, the Mustangs are running out of runway, and the next few games will decide if this season ends with a spark.
