National Tournament Starts This Week in Bartlesville
NAIA national tournament action starts this week, and for the first time ever Oklahoma Wesleyan will host an opening round matchup at the Mueller Sports Center.
The Eagles, coming off their first ever national runner-up a season ago, enter this season as the 1-seed in the Liston quadrant. As a one-seed, OKWU will get to host the first and second round of the national tournament. The Eagles meet 16-seed Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) in the first round.
Oklahoma Wesleyan is 28-3 overall and the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) regular season and tournament champions for the second time in three years.
Tip-off for the first round of the national tournament is set for Friday at 6 p.m.
