Nowata Football Building Foundation for Fall Camp
We continue to take a look at high school football programs throughout the area as fall camp approaches next week.
At Nowata, the Ironmen have built a solid foundation throughout the summer with a heavy emphasis on workouts and a handful of 7-on-7 competitions last month.
The focus in Nowata has stayed the same the past few weeks as the coaching staff gets everything organized in the fall and the players continue working out to get ready for kickoff.
The Ironmen will participate in two scrimmages before they kick things off in September. Nowata will play a half-game against Dewey on Aug. 21 for their first scrimmage of the fall.
With fall camp on the way, Martin says the first week of practice is important.
Nowata kicks off the season on Sept. 4 on the road for Warner.
