Nowata Football Prepares for Back Half of Summer
Nowata football has seen growth from their athletes with summer workouts taking a week off for the dead period to begin the final full month of the offseason.
The Ironmen are led by first year head coach Scott Martin, who spent last season as the offensive line coach at Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
Through the first half of summer pride, which got started in Nowata at the end of the school year in May, the Ironmen have put in work in the weight room and on the field. They also competed in a handful of 7-on-7 competitions at Sequoyah (Claremore).
Nowata opens their season Sept. 4 against Warner.
