OKWU Hoops Opens Road Trip in Winfield

Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball opens up a three-game road trip on Wednesday evening against Southwestern College (KS).
 
Both Eagle clubs wrapped up a three-game homestand last week. 
 
On the women's side, the Lady Eagles are trying to snap a two-game skid. OKWU is 3-13 in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference, with one of those wins over Southwestern at home on Dec. 10, 78-67.
 
Head coach Heidi Messer talks about some similarities to Monday and Saturday's games to the first meeting with Southwestern.
 
On the men's side, the Eagles are coming off their second biggest blowout win over Bethany College on Saturday afternoon, 89-57. The Eagles are 20-2 overall this season and a KCAC-best 15-1 in conference play.

The Eagles have a two game lead for first in the conference standings with four games to go.
 
The Lady Eagles will get the evening started at 5 p.m. with the men to follow around 7 p.m. Both games can be heard on Sports Talk, 99.1 FM - KPGM.
