OSU Cowboy Wins OGA State Amateur

Current Oklahoma State Cowboy Collin Bond won the 114th Oklahoma Golf Association State Amateur on Thursday.
 
Bond finished eighth in the qualifying round on Monday with a 68 (-3), to advance to the round of 32. After the qualifying round, the tournament turns into a match play bracket.
 
Bond defeated golfers from Northeastern State University, Lake Forest College, University of Central Missouri and Kansas State University to win the tournament.
 
Bond is a rising redshirt sophomore at OSU. He is from Norman and graduated from Crossings Christian School. He is the first Cowboy to win the event since Ian Davis in 2022.
 
Current Bartlesville High Bruin Jay Wasemiller competed in the tournament, he missed the cut for match play by one stroke with a 72. Wasemiller will be a senior at BHS next year.
